Project Description

The farming estate has been owned by the Mainò family for four generations. The crops they grow have, over the past ten years, gone from being only the most extensive – wheat, barley, sunflower and alfalfa – to including intensive varieties as well – beans, lentils, chuckling, chick peas, millet, faro and fagiolina. Crop rotation techniques are used to reduce the use of fertilizers to a minimum.

The estate spreads over a thirty-five hectare valley that borders on the Nature Oasis at the Lago di Montepulciano, located on the border between Umbria and Tuscany.

Guided tours are held on request and the products can be purchased on the premises: bags of dried cereals and legumes, on their own or ready mixed for us in soups, pre-cooked fagiolina del Trasimeno, a variety of types of flour, semolina, barley or Cappelli durum wheat semolina.
